Brianna | Senior Shoot

My second senior shoot of the year was so much fun! Brianna was such a joy to be around and it was so amazing hearing her heart and desires for her future.
She has a passion to help others and love the Lord. Her dream is to become a doctor and get involved with Doctor’s Without Borders and head to Cambodia.

Her beauty, inside and out shines through her photographs, i’m sure you’ll see.

So without further ado… *insert drum roll*

Jessica | Senior Portrait Session

Even though it was VERY cold and the snow was ridiculously deep Jessica proved to be an incredible model and never once complained!

Jessica’s photos start a first for Alabaster Jar Photography…Senior Portraits.
Senior Portrait Sessions are huge in the US. “Formal senior portraits, in and of themselves, date back at least to the 1880s in America. Some traditional senior portrait sittings include a cap and gown and other changes of clothing, portrait styles and poses. Senior portraits are often included in graduation announcements or are given to friends and family.

SNEAK PEEK – Jessica | Senior Photos

I had the privileged of shooting my senior photo session with Jessica Bandy and let me just say … wow!

The Millar Family | Family Portraits

For those of you who know me, know that I have dreamed of having twin girls…to dress up, make ride ponies and put their hair in fountain ponies! However after meeting the Millar boys my dreams definitely changed! They are three of the cutest and sweetest boys I have ever met! They each have such a different personality and were just so much fun.

This was also the fastest shoot of my entire life, the boys were so energetic and I’m sure it didn’t help having Geoff running around playing! It’s been really great getting to know families and friends since we’ve moved and Paul and Kelly are so great! So prepare yourself for some serious cuteness!

Daniel + Chelsea | Kingston Photography

Yesterday myself and Jessica had an opportunity to shoot an engagement shoot for Daniel and Chelsea.  They were so much fun which made the shoot so easy! I work with both Daniel and Chelsea at Ellel Ministries Canada so I have had the privilege of getting to know them over this past year. Chelsea and I thought Circle Square Ranch would be the perfect backdrop for their winter photos. I drove in and immediately fell in love!! Barns, cute cabins, teepees, horses and more! We had planned our Save the Date a few weeks before and with the snow coming down it was a bit difficult to get our subject to really stand out, but in the end I think we created my most favourite Save the Date yet, i’m sure after scrolling you’ll see why. So enjoy a few of my favourite shots from the day, including a VERY cold chalk fight!

Baby Reata | Newborn Photography

I have had the privilege of getting to know Reuben and Karina and this week did a newborn shoot for baby Reata!
The family of now 6 was so much fun to spend time with! It doesn’t help of course that both Reuben and Karina are into horses which make a visit to their western themed home SO MUCH FUN!
Reuben, was a bull rider and Karina was Miss Rodeo Canada in 1999. Needless to say we totally hit it off,  and you’ll get to see some country mixed into the shoot, including one of Reuben’s cowboy hats and a little western saddle tree!
